Use this form only if you want to receive SMS. Leaving the checkbox unchecked means you will not be subscribed. You can still use IEC Portal and chapter services without texting.
Your consent
SMS consent is collected only when you take an affirmative action on this page (check the SMS box and submit) or another documented chapter workflow that uses the same clear SMS language. Providing a phone number alone does not enroll you in SMS.
Message types may include: OJT hour reminders and magic links, class or schedule changes, registration and payment notices, membership status updates, and other chapter operational messages. Message frequency varies.
Consent is not a condition of purchase, membership, or program enrollment. You may decline SMS and still use other available contact channels where offered.
Message & data rates
Message and data rates may apply. Check your wireless plan with your carrier. IEC Portal and participating chapters are not responsible for charges from your mobile carrier.
How to opt out
- Reply STOP to any IEC Portal or chapter SMS to cancel SMS messages to that number.
- Reply HELP for help information.
- You may also email support@iecportal.com or contact your chapter office to update your phone number or messaging preferences.
After you opt out, you may still receive a one-time confirmation of your unsubscribe request. Opting out of SMS does not automatically cancel email notices unless you unsubscribe from email separately.
Email communications
If you provide an email address in connection with IEC Portal or chapter membership, registration, or contractor tools, we may send transactional email (account, billing, registration, and service notices). Marketing or newsletter email, if offered, will include an unsubscribe link.
Privacy
We use your contact information to deliver the services and messages described above and to operate chapter portal features. We do not sell your phone number. Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Service providers that help us send messages (such as Twilio) process delivery data under our instructions. Participating chapters administer their own member and apprentice records within IEC Portal.
Eligibility & accuracy
You represent that you are the owner or authorized user of the mobile number you provide, and that you are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction). You agree to keep your number current and to notify your chapter if the number changes or is reassigned.
Changes to these terms
We may update this page from time to time. The effective date above will change when we do. Continued opt-in use of SMS after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms, except where additional consent is required by law.
